Our Story
Vanam began with a simple frustration. Anamika Verma kept meeting people in Delhi NCR who wanted a garden, had the space for one, and had already failed at it two or three times. Not because they were careless — because nobody had ever taught them. They had bought the wrong seeds for the season, used soil that drowned the roots, and watered a plant that was already dying of too much water.
So she started teaching. First neighbours, then their friends, then anyone who asked. Somewhere along the way it became Vanam — The House of Plants.
Today Vanam is three things at once: a place to learn, a community to grow with, and a shop that carries exactly what we ourselves use. Under the guidance of Anamika Verma, Vanam has helped set up 50+ terrace gardens and hundreds of balcony and indoor gardens across Delhi NCR — and reached thousands more through free videos and guides.

What We Believe
Everyone can garden — small space, no experience, black thumb; none of it disqualifies you.
Desi seeds deserve to survive — we sell original, indigenous, non-hybrid varieties on purpose.
Knowledge should be free — our guides, videos and community cost nothing.
Your food should be safe — growing even a little of it yourself changes what your family eats.
Gardening is good for you — the calm it brings is not a side effect; for many of our members it is the reason.
